The Commission Process.

Each artwork is an expression of colour and movement using pigments and fine art photography.

A limited number of artworks are commissioned each year to ensure high quality, detailed art.

Stacey offers two commission types:

The Aqueous Project - an original artwork created to the clients specified size and colours.

The Milk Project - the ultimate breastfeeding keepsake representing your journey with your milk and symbolic colours.

  • Step 1.

To provide an accurate quote you need to think about the final artwork.

•What is the final image size? I can create any size. If you are unsure where to start, tape pieces of paper to the wall and see what fits best. What will the orientation of your artwork be, landscape or portrait?

•Do you want your artwork framed or unframed? I use professional framers so your work is gallery quality. My standard colour frame choices are black or white, raw oak is available at an extra cost. If framed, do you want white mat board?

•What colours will be in your artwork? Background (white or black) and painterly blooms. I do not recommend more than 3 colours plus your milk or more than 4 for a non-breastmilk commission, anything more and colours can get lost.

Prices start from $760AUD for an unframed A3 image.

  • Step 2.

Complete your Commission Expression of Interest form. An obligation free quote, commission terms and conditions, and a time line will be provided via email.

If you book a commission we will have a chat on the phone to talk about the details of your work.

If you are booking a breastmilk commission, I like to hear about your breastfeeding story. Building connection with my clients is very important so I can truly capture and honour your journey.

If you wish to proceed I will require a 50% deposit (non-refundable). Paid 50% deposit means you have agreed to the terms and conditions, and locks in your place on my commission list.

  • Step 3.

If you are booking a breastmilk commission (currently Australia only) once the deposit has been received you will be sent, via Australia Post, a breastmilk postage kit. This kit includes a prepaid return satchel, postage instructions, breastmilk storage bag and a plastic case to further protect your milk in the post.

I require 15-30mls of your breastmilk. It does not have to be in date and can be previously frozen.

If your breastmilk is not received by the specified date you may lose your booking space.

  • Step 4.

After shooting your artwork I will email you 2-3 images of your artwork mocked up and allow you to choose the artwork that speaks to your heart.

From there I prepare it for printing, included test prints so I know the end result will be absolutely perfect!

  • Step 5.

Once I am happy with the test prints, you will receive an invoice, via email, for the remaining amount of your payment. Final payment must be received before your artwork is sent to the printer and framer.

Once final payment has been received your artwork will be with you within 4-6 weeks*. Framed images are sent via courier, unframed rolled images are sent in a sturdy art postage tube with a tracking number via Australia Post.

*Peak periods, such as Christmas, may take longer. You will be kept up to date throughout the process.
